At the same time, Pip is always dedicated to giving back to communities that are less fortunate and creating a sustainable return that focuses on the environment and communities.
Forever the wondering soul in search of unique countries and their people, Pip has always been fascinated with ancient cultures and history behind the countries and the unique traditions on offer. It comes from her love of ancient and art history and art – subjects close to Pip’s heart.
Pip’s trip to Turkiye was a turning point in her life. Pip discovered the ancient World of Turkiye and its founding history dating back to Prehistoric civilisation. The wonders of the World are found across this country from the Hittites, Roman-Greeks right through to today, Turkiye has the oldest civilisation, cultures, ancient techniques such as weaves and history in the World. To think the Greeks and Turks lived side by side but well before them were the many tribes and civilisations that rampaged across this country always in constant conflict.
From one friend to other contacts, Pip was fortunate to find the beautiful woven techniques of pestamel and looped products and the kilims that are individually made from local wool and cotton especially woven to tell the story of that tribe through these people she met along the way. It was when she found how these are made and the resurrection of the looped and pestamel weaves, she wanted to bring these home and to create a business that not only brings beauty to your home but to also give back to an ancient culture where she fell in love.
Today, Pip brings you Turkish Bath & Home and the rest is history in itself.
We want you to enjoy the quality products and to have them for years to come.
