Beautiful, luscious, luxury Turkish handwoven towels in GOTS certified organic cotton and linen. Carefully handed down during the centuries using ancient traditional weaves and traditions from the ancient cultures and taught in homes across the country, each product resembles a part of the tradition in Turkiye. We offer a wide variety of carefully woven towels in flat weave and looped weaves that are unlike any other towel you can buy around the world. Every towel is made to last a lifetime with the love from the artisan weavers who are men. The traditional woven products are not factory made and are the only traditional woven towels made by the artisans. Only five weavers were left 15 years ago and now over 600 are working to bring you a luxury towel. Each towel supports the environment and supports the Turkish community by employing over 600 weavers.
Plenty of Turkish towels sold in Australia are made in Türkiye. Ours are made the old way, and you can feel the difference.
Woven by hand, not by machine.
Every towel, robe and throw is handwoven by an artisan on an old-style shuttle loom. Factory machines can copy the look of a Turkish towel, but not the dense, even structure of a handwoven one. That’s why our towels feel heavier, dry better and soften with every wash.
Certified organic, from field to finished towel.
Our cotton is GOTS certified organic. GOTS is the world’s leading standard for organic textiles, and it covers how the cotton is grown, how it’s processed and how the weavers are treated, not just the finished fabric.
Thick looped towels, made the Ottoman way.
The looping technique behind our thick bath towels, bath sheets and robes dates back to the Ottoman era. It’s slow and skilled work, and it makes a towel that’s plush, absorbent and built to last.
Made to keep for decades.
Customers tell us their handwoven towels are still going strong decades later. Buy once, buy well.
A craft brought back to life.
In 2009, our supplier spent six days driving across Türkiye looking for towels still woven the traditional way, and found one man working an old shuttle loom. Today we support more than 600 artisan weavers, their families and their communities.
